Education programs include informing the public (community, schools, media) about the importance of spaying and neutering in preventing litters of unwanted kittens and puppies as well as the care and well-being of pets. Education also plays a critical role in helping families keep their pets who may have behavioral issues. PPNAZ educational programs include participating in the national Fix At Four campaign and visits to schools and community groups. PPNAZ volunteers also work with individuals and families who have pets with behavioral issues to prevent those pets from being taken to a shelter. Volunteers will identify experts in the community who can help address the identified issues.
